BCL Noakhali Unit Gets New Committee

After Nearly two years, Bangladesh Chhatra League’s Noakhali unit on Friday (March 15) gets  A 25-member new committee comprising with meritorious and running students.

Mohammad Rubaiyat Rahman Arafat and Md. Shamsul Huda Bappy have been named as the President and the General Secretary respectively. Central Unit of Chhatra League, the student wing of the ruling Awami League appointed the committee through  a press release.

At the same time, the committees of Sadar upazila, Noakhali Municipality, Noakhali Government College, were also announced.

Local leaders and activists said that the new leadership has been appointed with a focus on a clean image and prioritizing the meritorious.

In this youth-dependent committee, the position of Vice-President has been given to Kausar Hamid Apu, a meritorious student and student leader with a clean image, currently studying for his Master's in the Bengali Department of Noakhali Government College. The new committee has emphasized the importance of young, regular, and meritorious members, for which Hamid expressed gratitude and thanks to Saddam Hossain, President of the Central Student League, and General Secretary Sheikh Inan.

Furthermore, on March 19, the new leaders paid their respects at the portrait of the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, located in Dhanmondi.

Notably, the Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) on March 14 2022 had dissolved its Noakhali district unit committee after facing controversy and protest for alleged exclusion of grassroot and tested leaders.
