The situation in Bangladesh is dire now as law enforcers firing protesters who are seeking Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s resignation accusing her the responsible of July Massacre that killed hundreds.
The death numbers are increasing in every moment. At least 100 people were killed and many more injured in these confrontations in Dhaka and other parts of Bangladesh on the first day of a non-cooperation movement organized by the Anti-Discrimination Students Movement.
The protesters have announced a "Long March to Dhaka" on Monday, urging students, citizens, and workers to converge on the capital to support their cause.
Nahid Islam, a coordinator for the movement, told Tvista.
The government has announced that a curfew will be imposed in the coming hour while a communication blackout has already been put in place.
The demonstrators were demanding Hasina’s resignation after earlier protests in July that began with students calling for an end to a quota system for government jobs escalated into violence that left more than 200 people dead.

11 Policemen beaten to death in Sirajganj
21 people, including 11 police officers, have been killed in violence in Sirajganj. Among these, miscreants attacked the Enayetpur Police Station and killed 11 police officers. Long March to Dhaka Tomorrow
The Anti-Discrimination Student Movement has called for a long march to Dhaka Tomorrow. Asif Mahmud, a leading coordinator of the group, confirmed this plan to Tvista today.
Curfew has been imposed indefinitely starting from 6:00pm today in Dhaka and other divisional cities, district towns and all city corporations, and it will remain in effect until otherwise directed.
Previously, the Home Minister announced yesterday that curfew would remain relaxed from 6am to 9pm starting from Sunday.
Hundreds of thousands of students have occupied all the roads around Shahbag, and many parents are present with their children.
Over a hundred police officers are positioned near the gate of the Shahbag police station.
Over 50 people are currently being treated for injuries at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital in the capital.
A number of the patients have bullet wounds, our source confirms.
Our correspondent on Mirpur-10 reported heavy explosions of sound grenades. Members of police are present near the Mirpur-10 intersection.
4 Killed in Dhaka
4 people have been killed in Dhaka, including 1 in the Science Lab area. Earlier, there was a clash between activists of the quota reform movement and leaders and workers of the ruling Awami League in the Science Lab area. Around 11 AM, a procession of Awami League and Chhatra League leaders and workers came from the direction of Bata Signal towards Science Lab and chased the protesters. Within a few minutes, the protesters counter-chased, causing the Awami League and Chhatra League leaders and workers to retreat.
4 Killed in Munshiganj
In Munshiganj, there was a clash between students of the quota reform movement and leaders and workers of Awami League, Chhatra League, and Jubo League and their affiliated organizations. During this time, 4 people were killed by gunfire from Awami League leaders and workers. Over fifty were injured. One person who was shot died on the way to Dhaka in Sirajkhan. These clashes occurred in waves from about 9:45 AM to 11:45 AM on Sunday.
The deceased were aged between 22-25 years. Most of the injured are between 20-25 years old. Dr. Abu Hena Jamal, the superintendent of Munshiganj General Hospital, confirmed the death of two people around 11:45 AM, saying that 25 to 30 people with gunshot wounds were brought to the hospital between 10 AM and 10:30 AM. Two of them were already dead. The injured were given primary treatment and sent to various hospitals in Dhaka.
4 Killed in Magura
In Magura, Mehedi Hasan Rabbi, joint secretary of the district Chhatra Dal, was killed in a clash between police and BNP. 10 people, including 4 police members, were injured in this clash. The incident occurred around 11 AM on Sunday (August 4). Police reported that when BNP tried to enter the city with a procession from the Parnanduali area in the morning, police obstructed them. At this time, BNP leaders and workers threw bricks at the police. Police chased them and fired rubber bullets and live ammunition. Rabbi was killed during this time. The president of the district Chhatra Dal, Abdur Rahim, said that Rabbi was killed by police gunfire. He was shot in the chest. Three police members and 10 others were injured in the clash. Additionally, it was reported that Farhad, a student of Chittagong University, and Suman, a college student, were killed by gunfire from Chhatra League.
5 Killed in Rangpur
In Rangpur, there was a clash and chase between students of the anti-discrimination movement and Awami League leaders and workers. 5 people were killed and 10 were injured in this incident.
3 Killed in Bogura
3 people were killed in Bogura during the non-cooperation program of the anti-discrimination student movement. Until 1 PM, information about two deaths was received. Thousands of protesters have blocked several important roads in Bogura. They have set fires at various intersections in the city.
The Upazila Health Officer of Dupchanchia, Shamsunnahar, said that 12 people came to the Dupchanchia Upazila Health Complex Hospital for treatment. Among them, one was brought dead. He was killed by a gunshot to the head. His name was Monirul Islam (24).
On the other hand, four of the injured were in critical condition and were sent to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College, according to the Upazila Health Officer. The Deputy Director of Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College, Abdul Wadud, informed that one person was also brought dead to that hospital.
3 Killed in Pabna
3 people were killed when gunfire was opened from an Awami League and Jubo League procession while students were stationed at the Kheyaghat intersection in Pabna. Eyewitnesses reported that an Awami League leader fired these shots. Protesters then burned his car. The Assistant Director of Pabna Sadar Hospital confirmed these deaths.
5 Shot, 50 Injured in Lakshmipur
In Lakshmipur, 5 people were shot and 50 were injured in clashes.
9 Killed in Sirajganj
9 people were killed in Sirajganj.
2 Killed in Barisal
2 people were killed in Barisal.
1 Killed in Joypurhat
One death has been reported in Joypurhat.
2 Killed in Cumilla
2 deaths have been reported in clashes in Cumilla.
4 Killed in Kishoreganj
